Ticket to Work (TTW) - everyone is eligible for something! (if you have not already been assigned to another EN.)
We are now able to get you cash to help you pay for your work expenses (gas, car repair, bus pass, work clothes, computer expenses, etc.). You will need to be working and earning the required amount. Sign your Ticket with us first before you start working.
During the first 12 months that you work, if your earnings exceed $720/month for each of any 3 months, we will give you $500. We can give you up to $2000 total in the first 12 months of work. You will continue to be eligible for the same Social Security benefits you are now receiving (including Medical coverage).
In fact, just to encourage you to Work, if it has been a few months since you worked, you only have to earn over $360 in a 2 week period to get the first of the $500 work incentives. If you stay with us for more than one year and are earning over $1000/month, we will then give $200/month for up to 36 months total for SSDI or $150/month up to 60 months for SSI as long as you meet the payment request requirements.
Eligibility: We will need your last 18 months work history to determine when you are eligible for these payments.
PASS Plan – there are eligibility requirements. If we help with a PASS you will need to assign your Ticket to us. This will give you the medical review protection while you are in school or training.
Currently in college or planning to attend -The PASS Plan requires that you project that once you have completed your PASS, you will be earning enough to no longer receive a Social Security check (after completion of Trial Work Period). If that is your goal and you are currently attending and have been in college for 1 year or more, we will assist you with the PASS plan. You need to provide us with your last year’s grades showing a C or better average. There will be a 15 page form you will have to fill out. We assist and tell you where the pitfalls are, but it is your responsibility to get it completed. You’re the one receiving the additional funds. If you work while going to school, you will also be eligible for the TTW funds above.
Want to go to college, get short-term training, or help purchasing a car – You will need to show us your commitment. Again you will need to fill out the PASS form and get it approved. Do not buy anything until approved by the regional PASS cadre. All PASS Plans will need to be sent to your Regional Social Security PASS Cadre for approval.
