"I never knew all the help that was available for a disabled person until I found Disabled Workers. They have made understanding the rules easy!"
To Whom It May Concern;
I had been on Social Security Disability for seventeen years. Wanting to go back to work, I didn’t know where to begin until I ran across www.passplanhelp.com. I had a great fear of losing my benefits if I did not succeed at working. I also knew it would take having courses at the local vocational school, reliable transportation, and other things to meet my goal of returning to work. I contacted Mr. Stephen Schrader and he led me through the entire process. I am now getting help through the pass plan including all of the things I required so I could return to work. Mr. Schrader answered all of my questions, helped write the application, contacted the Social Security workers, explained what was available, stayed in touch with me, and much more. I couldn’t have gotten this help without him. I urge you to check out the pass plan because it is a wonderful program.
Sincerely,
"Gayle"
Dear Janet, Ron and Steve,
I can't thank you enough for all that you've done on my behalf over these past years. In large part due to your efforts and positive encouragement I now work full time and am also employed part time on call. Considering where I started from, this is a serious benefit to me and to society as a whole.
It's also a testament to the effectiveness of your company and particularly the people who work there.
If anyone is new to your program let them be aware this is the finest and most caring group of people they will ever chance to meet.
Sincerely and with great admiration,
David
I wish to thank you and all the fine people at Disabled Workers that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me. I am happy to report, that by the grace of God, I found permanent employment. Without you guys, especially Judy, Jacqui, and Steve, I don't know if I would have been able to pound out resume after resume without lapsing into discouragement to finally get a decent job. Thanks for all the information, advice, and compassion
God bless you all

You guys are such a blessing in our lives. The incentive money you guys have sent has come just at the right times, when we were completely out of money and weren't sure how we would get to work. God has continuously blessed us through you guys.

Hi!
The video above is me; I am the owner of DisABLEd Workers.
I feel it is important for you to know that I have been through a lot of the same things that you have. After years of searching and learning through experience and education, I have found some ways to help you with the forms and other obstacles that may be hindering you from getting on with your life.
In late 1995, I was rear-ended by a man going 100 miles/hour while I was making a left-hand turn. I had a three-inch segment of my skull shattered into my brain, my spinal cord torn at T12, and half the bones in my body were broken. I was in the hospital for three and a half months and it took many more months to recover emotionally. The head injury should have scared me, as I couldn't even add 2 + 2, I didn't know what the opposite of "Stop" was and I had no memory.
I didn't know I should be scared. All I had was a loving family there with me every day. I hope you have been as fortunate as I have.
Even with this Blessing it took many years for me to work my way back both emotionally and physically to where I thought I could do something productive. I found out that I could with help from my State Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and I went out and tried! Give it a try you can do it too!
Now I'm trying to help others through what I've learned from my experiences of dealing with all the different agencies. I had no idea of the opportunities and programs that are available. Nor, did I know the pitfalls. I am grateful to all those who helped me and I am glad to share what I have learned. That is why I started my company called "disABLEd Workers". if you notice the capitalized letters spell "ABLE". Through disABLEd Workers I have set up this website PASSPLANHELP.com to help you tap into a great funding source. Hopefully, I can help you live life to your fullest possibilities. Dream and see what happens!
I have been doing benefits planning in the State of Iowa since 2001. I have had contracts with the State Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the BPAO grant though Social Security, and a contract with the Iowa WIPA project. I am currently an approved Employment Network through Social Security and the "Ticket to Work" employment program. I have helped people get PASS Plans, IRWEs, subsidies, and all the other work incentives that are available. Everyone should have their benefits looked at even if they only want to work part time. I have helped many find funding for school, computers, cars, and starting businesses. I want to see if there is anything that can help you! For many of the programs we offer, we don't charge or receive compensation. We do it because we believe in them, and they have helped me, and others in my position.

Looking forward to working with you.
May God Bless All Your Endeavors!

I started working with DisABLEd Workers part time in 2008, as the company grew, so did I within the company. In October 2009 I accepted the position as Office Manager, and in 2012 was made Executive Vice President. I have really enjoyed my time with DisABLEd workers, and am proud of the growth that I have seen happen in the last four years, and hope it will continue for years to come. We have not only grown with employment, but have also seen a huge growth with our client base and the disabled communities involvement with the Ticket To Work program.
A little about myself... I recently found the opportunity to return to college and pursue a dream of mine to get a medical education. In June of 2011 I graduated with my LPN. I have found that with this education it has helped me to understand and relate to our clients disabilities. I plan on continuing this education further as I am able. I am married and have three wonderful children. I hope to get to know and assist each and everyone of our clients to achieve their employment or educational goals.
Stefanie
Hi, my name is Judy and I am a 69 year old senior citizen who loves to work and stay active. I have been at DWLLC since April 2011 working in the payment department with Ron and now Matthew has joined us. I process all incoming faxes of pay stubs and related papers from Social Security, my e-mails and voice messages. I file for incentive payments and call you to let you know that Steve is sending your bonus funds to you! We stay in contact with clients and keep them updated on their status on the Trial Work Period; Grace Months and any other issues that we feel you need to be advised of.
I really enjoy working here because Steve truly believes in helping the disabled community and has developed his business to reflect this. He really cares for people and is here to assist you with achieving your goals of becoming self-sufficient and yet protecting your interests at the same time. It is a great pleasure for me to be of assistance to the clients that we work with.
I have had the privilege of having traveled, lived and worked in five different states in this wonderful country of ours. I have met, lived by, worked with and socialized with a lot of very interesting people and had the opportunity to have worked at Mayo Clinic, worked in real estate and was also a realtor. I worked in the purchasing department in various capacities, worked for a credit union and I have also worked for a major mortgage company again in various capacities.
My favorite pastimes are reading, getting together with family and friends. I love to travel and see all of God’s creations. I enjoy music, swimming, water skiing, fishing, hunting and just having fun and relaxing. We have two sons and two granddaughters, one of which will be getting married this summer.
I look forward to assisting you with reaching your goals.
Judy
This is Ron the Ancient one. I won't say how ancient. I've been with Steve and DisABLEd Workers for over 4 years which has allowed me the pleasure of having talked to many of you over those years. Some clues as to how ancient I am are that I have been married to my wife Adele for 53 years and we have three children who have had four children who have had eight children to date. That means I get to try to keep up with the two great grandsons that live in my town. That can be a challenge, but we have great times with them.
I'm Working with a great group of people who have been very helpful and patient with my technical challenges which some of you have been aware of as we visited on the phone. I am glad to be part of DisABLEd Workers team because I believe that the services we provide are beneficial.
I have worked at DisABLEd Workers since early 2011. In this time I have been promoted twice and am currently the Program Manager.
I love working at DisABLEd Workers for a number of reasons. One of which is that I have had the opportunity to grow with the company as we have made changes and expanded. I have also enjoyed assisting clients who have lost hope, to successfully working their way off Social Security.
One of the great things about working here is we are constantly changing and growing. I have never worked for a company that has been so open to suggestions and actually takes them into consideration!
Another thing that I love about working here is that we are helping people. Whether it is getting accurate information to our clients to make the best decision for their situation, all the way to when a client starts working and we are able to help them with our employment support grants. It is a great feeling knowing you are helping to make a difference, no matter how small, in someone's life.
Prior to working with DisABLEd Workers I was in the retail management field. It is a big change in pace, but it is much more rewarding.
In my free time I like to read. I will read anything, even if it's not any good. I have never not finished a book because some of my favorites took a little while to get into. Some of my favorite books include The Sparrow, Still Alice, The Road, and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. (Which if you haven't read, I highly recommend it!)
I am excited to learn and work together to assist you in reaching your goals
Amanda
I've worked for DWLLC since July 2011. I am currently working as an Assignment Processor, so I conduct counseling appointments with our new clients, explain our programs, start job searches, and give information on the PASS Plan. I love being able to help people. I lived off of my disability check for two years, so I know what it feels like not having a job. I also know how great it feel to be able to find a job I can do, and be given a chance to work again for a great company.
I became disabled in 2007 while working in the US Marine Corps. I had a traumatic brain injury along with a total of 11 other permanent injuries during my enlistment. I had to re-learn how to do a lot of everyday things in different ways, and be grateful for the abilities I do have. My brain injury affected me the most and has caused me to become very interested in the brain. So, in my spare time I have been taking courses towards earning my degree in Secondary Special Education and I've obtained my A.A. Degree so far. What I learn in my classes helps me learn more about assistive devices and jobs for people with disabilities, which helps me at DWLLC.
I am excited to get to know you and help you reach your goals
Jacqui
My name is DiSha, I have been working with DWLLC since November 2011. In my short time being here I've held a few different positions. I was hired as a CSR and then moved to Lead CSR shortly after. Now I am an Assignment Processor. I love working for a company that shows their appreciation for good work and allows me to grow within the company. My favorite part of working for DWLLC is what we're doing. We're helping people who want to help themselves!
I am currently working on getting my AA in Liberal Arts and transferring to University of Northern Iowa to pursue a BA in Public Administration with a focus on Human Resources and a minor in Sociology. I love working with and learning about all different types of people. In my spare time, I love watching movies and reading. My favorite author is James Patterson.
I am looking forward to learning about you and how I can assist you to reach your goals.
Disha
I started with DisABLEd Workers in November of 2011. I started as the Team Lead and as the business has grown so have I. I enjoy working with a company and people that have so much passion and experience for what they do. One thing that has really stuck out about working here is that they are continually growing and open for suggestions and feedback on ways to improve. Many companies say they are open for suggestions, but never actually make the leap to put that into action.
In college, I pursued a Bachelors degree in Social Work and Criminology from the University of Northern Iowa where I graduated at the top of my class. I studied in these areas because I have always had a passion for helping the underdog. Prior to working at DisABLEd Workers I had a few long time managerial positions within large companies. When I am not working, I am usually spending time with my husband and two daughters. We enjoy riding our dirt bikes, camping, going on nature walks and bike rides, and just spending time together acting goofy and having fun.
I look forward to using my background to assist you in understanding the program to help you reach your goals
Cherie
I have worked at DWLLC since January of 2012. Currently, I am going through the client list calling to get updates on their situations. I also help fill out financial forms for payments to be made.
I enjoy working here because I like helping others achieve their goals and the people who work here are fun to be around and very good at what they do.
My educational background includes a BA in Communication Arts from Wartburg College and a Masters Degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa.
Prior to working at DisABLEd Workers, I was a Workforce Consultant helping clients achieve their educational and professional goals.
My favorite past-times are reading and almost anything outdoors. I like to read mainly non-fiction, but have been getting more into fiction recently. When the weather warms up I put down the books and head outside for a long walk, bike ride, or anything else just to enjoy God's creation.
I was a TV news photographer for almost 25 years covering Super Bowls, presidential visits and many Iowa Hawkeye bowl games and NCAA basketball tournament trips.
I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your Goals
Matthew
I currently work part-time as an Executive Assistant to the CEO.
I previously worked at DWLLC as a Customer Service Representative and as an Assignment
Processor.
I have a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Iowa. I am an Iowa native and had a successful career in D.C. before the disability. I’ve worked for DWLLC for almost 2 years now.I remember how it felt to be unemployed because of a disabling condition. It was really hard. My self esteem has improved tremendously since I started
working. Now if someone asks what I do, I have an answer and don’t have to feel embarrassed. I really enjoy my job and look forward to going to work. It’s important to me to help others with disabilities. That's really
where my heart is.
When I got the letter from Social Security saying I was approved for benefits, I cried. I didn’t want to be disabled. At the same time I was grateful that the SSDI had finally been approved. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work again. My life is much better because I’m working. I want others to be able to experience that feeling, too. I enjoy playing cribbage, baking bread and goodies from scratch, and hang gliding. I don’t actually hang glide myself, but I do enjoy watching others do it.
Janet

I joined DisABLEd Workers in July 2012. In December 2012 I was promoted to Lead CSR. I enjoy working at DisABLEd workers because of the great atmosphere and friendliness of the employees. Ideas are listened to and taken into consideration which makes DisABLEd workers a great place to work!
I like helping people and educating individuals about their options. It is a good feeling coming to work each day knowing you are helping people gain their independence back. When someone thinks they have no more options and we can help them, it makes all the work worth it.
I graduated from UNI with a BA in Psychology. I feel my degree helps me to work with clients and helps me to understand people’s struggles.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, scrap-booking, taking photos, shopping, and baking. I am looking forward to speaking with you to help you achieve your goals
I starting working at DisABLEd Workers in June of 2012 as a CSR, then in December of 2012 I was moved up to Team Lead.
Working here has been a great learning experience in seeing what barriers disabled people face when trying to go back to work and/or school. The rewarding part is to see someone go from not knowing about the programs to being able to get back to work and earn incentives.
I like working for a company that is growing and allowing the employees opportunities to grow with them. I do feel like we are a family here and I hope to be here to see it continue as we assist more people that are ready to take the next step in becoming self-sufficient despite the extra challenges they are facing.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my kids and grandchildren. For "me" time I like to go walking, listen to music and read.
I have been with DisABLEd Workers since 2012. I started as a customer service representative, I was promoted to Lead CSR and then to client counselor. In my current position I speak with clients and explain in detail how our programs work. This helps our client understand exactly what we are doing for them before they decide to finish the ticket assignment process.
I enjoy helping others and feel that there is a excellent opportunity for growth. In my spare time I enjoy writing poetry, reading, traveling and spending time with my family. I look forward to assisting you with reaching your future goals.
